Reflectorless scanning up to 6000 m
(02.10.07)
At the Intergeo 2007 in Leipzig RIEGL presented its latest development in the field of terrestrial laser scanning, the Long-Range Profile Measuring System RIEGL LPM-321. It is characterized by a measurement range up to 6000 m for natural targets ("reflectorless"), and so ideally suited for extremely long range topographic measurements and as a basis for calculations of volume and surface areas in quarries and mines. It allows excellent performance also for glacier and snowfield measurements.
State-of-the-art digital signal processing and echo waveform analysis provide up to 3 target distances per measurement (Multi-Target-Capability) and measurements even under bad visibility conditions.
