3D-Laser Scanning now possible up to 2000m

(04.04.08)

At SPAR 2008 in Houston, RIEGL launched its new 3D laser scanner LMS-Z620, specially optimised for long range topography and mining applications. It offers a maximum measurement range of 2000m to natural targets and a reduced beam divergence of merely 0.15 mrad, performance data which is unrivalled in the market of high-speed laser scanners. Regardless of the high range, the scanner still operates in Laser Class 1 (eyesafe).

A new generation of built-in inclination sensors (2 axes) with a typical accuracy of 0.008° and a tilt range of +/-10° in combination with RiSCAN PRO's backsighting and Multi Station Adjustment functionality allows highly efficient and accurate scan data acquisition for geotechnical analysis and mining assessment.
