ISPRS Congress 2021

The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) is a non-governmental organization devoted to the development of international cooperation for the advancement of photogrammetry and remote sensing and their applications.

This year, the ISPRS Congress 2021 will be held virtually from July 5 - 9, 2021. It is the leading forum where classical and emergent topics related to photogrammetry, remote sensing, and spatial information sciences are discussed. It continues the unique tradition of gathering scientists, educators, and engineers from multiple domains and more than 100 countries. It promotes cross-fertilization between topics and communities, public and private sectors.

RIEGL supports the event as a Bronze Sponsor and will participate in the Technology Track with the presentation "UAV-borne bathymetric LiDAR put to test" on Tuesday, July 6 from 10:00 - 10:20. Martin Pfennigbauer, RIEGL Director Research & Intellectual Property, will present the benefits and challenges in performance and operation of UAV-borne bathymetric LiDAR, discussing results from field tests from both inland water bodies and coastal areas.

RIEGL's article on the latest VQ-840-G mission done in France this spring, will give you some first impressions on the performance of RIEGL's topo-bathymetric airborne laser scanner. The system is ready for use with UAVs, helicopters, and fixed-wing airplanes – in this project it was integrated to RIEGL's Cessna T206H, OE-KRI.
